Shipping policy

Important Note for U.S. Customers

• Canada is expected to face a 50% U.S. import tariff on many exports, including guitar pedals, beginning August 19.
• We will continue to cover all applicable tariffs, duties, and import fees on pedal orders shipped to the United States before August 5, 2026.
• Because shipments can take up to two weeks to reach and clear the U.S. border, orders placed on or after August 5, 2026, may be subject to the new tariffs.
• Beginning August 5, any applicable tariffs, duties, or import fees will be the responsibility of the customer.
• We remain hopeful that this situation will be resolved quickly and will update this policy if import regulations change.

International Duties, Taxes & Tariffs

• Customers outside Canada are responsible for any duties, taxes, tariffs, or brokerage fees charged by their country.
• These charges are not included in the product price or shipping costs at checkout.
• If a package is refused due to unpaid import fees, the order may not be eligible for a refund.

• All orders ship from Canada.
• Shipping times vary based on the destination and selected shipping method.
• Tracking information will be provided when your order ships.

Lost, Stolen, or Damaged Shipments

• Empress Effects is not responsible for lost or stolen packages once marked as delivered.
