Tape Delay Support Articles

Features

The high pass is at 500Hz and the low pass is at 4kHz.

By far the easiest way to set this up is with the quick start settings.

What you want to do is simply tap in with the tempo of the song.

At the beginning, you would tap for each of my strums.

So it would be "1, 2, 3, 4" - count as you tap

Then pick your notes twice as fast and you have it!

If you're going from a slower tempo to a faster tempo, the speed would immediately change to the faster tempo. If you're going the other way, you would still get the fast taps as well as the new slower taps.

The dry signal is analog but the actual delayed signal is digital. Therefore, the Tape Delay is not fully analog.

Yes, dotted eighth notes can be achieved easily with the Tape Delay. In fact, the second quick start example in the Tape Delay manual shows exactly how to set it up for dotted eighth tap tempo!

If you have Blips Mode turned on, modulation is not possible. This is because blips and modulation use two different pieces of software to create the delayed sound, and they aren't compatible. In Blips Mode the modulation switch has no effect, and there is no modulation in any of the "tape age" settings.

In tap mode, you can get a delay time from 30ms to 3.3 seconds. In the 'fast' setting, the delay time goes from 5ms to 256ms. In the 'slow' setting, the delay time goes from 128ms to 2.8 seconds.

The Tape Delay has true bypass switching. It uses a relay to switch. It also does buffered bypass. You set what kind of bypassing you want in the advanced config.
